Found my indonesian audio journal that I kept whilst in the jungle on the bird project. Might post some of it up, its a bit cringey because obviously its a journal, but its still neat to hear the jungle in the background.
Transcript: Day 1 of my transect walking. today we had a long drive from labundobundo, and passed through a much poorer place than usual. there were road gangs, filling in holes in the ground and asking for tips from passing cars… wearing scarves on their face. me and simon made a table for our bags underneath our hammocks. he’s very scared of boars. there are no babirusa here. on the bird project, have to wake up at 4:45 tomorrow morning, but my phone appears to be broken, at least wet at the moment so I’m relying on my watch. Last night went to watch the stars in labundobundo, was excellent.
