Day 2 of the ecological survey bird assessment. It was, it rained all night last night, there was thunder and lightning, so the river is too swollen to cross. So all transects have been called off today. Yesterdays transect was very good, we left early in the morning. We heard tarsiers, and uh, we got a feeling for the immensity of the forest as we were walking through it with the dawn coming on. Because you realised that when you would normally be sleeping, (??) we were seeing dawn rise on a basically completely wild savage untamed place. The tarsiers really brought that home, as well as the Pitta. Which was calling very eerily the whole time. Strange to think whats kept in a zoo back at home you can find wild here.
